BX AI is a collaboration between its founding members. We are a group of people first and a set of tools second. It is not a company yet: it is an agreement between people about how they will work together while they find out whether it should become one.
The three tests
Every idea must pass all three before it gets the group's time or money
Community
A named group of people is better off, and can say how.
Planet
The project does no measurable environmental harm, and ideally reduces some.
Profit
There is a credible way for the project to cover its own costs within twelve months of launch.
A project that fails any one test is not a BX AI project, however strong it is on the other two.
How we work
Four habits, each of them written down
Everything is written down.
Ideas are issues, decisions go on a board with the date and the reason, and if it is not in the repository it has not happened.
People first, tools second.
Each member brings their own judgement and their own AI assistant. The assistant is a tool, not a member; the person is responsible for the work.
Every project earns its place.
It passes the three tests before it gets the group's time or money, and it has a named lead, a budget and a written stop condition.
Nothing about a person is taken lightly.
Work that touches other people's personal information stops until the group has agreed in writing how that information will be protected.
